Destiny Calls The Killers to NYC
Brandon Flowers met his guitarist and backup vocalist through a newspaper ad in Las Vegas…yup, something like a Craigslist ad. Sometimes when you are in NYC and cannot find like-minded musicians, Craigslist and other publications offer new opportunities to become part of a larger group.
The Killers recently returned from the 5 city Australian tour of Sydney, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth where they headlined in the 2013 Big Day Out festival. They are headlining with Rihanna and Mumford and Sons in the Balado park in Kinkross, Scottland for the T in the Park festival in July. Additionally, they will headline T in the Park for their third time and Lollapalooza for their second time.
On June 22, 2013, the band are set to perform at the 90,000 capacity Wembley Stadium as one of the final concerts of the Battle Born World Tour; it will be their biggest show to date.
Currently, The Killers say they are recording another album and they are offering a new version of “Don’t Fence Me In” as a free download which they recorded at the request of their home state for a new Las Vegas style advertising campaign — as if Vegas really needs more advertising.
Let us know if you are attending the concert at Madison Square Garden or Barclays Center.
